After School Music Lessons

The Bright School is a second campus of Girls Preparatory School's Cadek Conservatory of Music. The Cadek name has been synonymous with high quality music instruction in Chattanooga for more than 100 years.

The conservatory offers a wide variety of private music lessons at Bright in the afternoon and early evening. Lessons are open to the community, but priority is given to Bright students. Instruments include piano, violin, guitar, viola, cello, string bass, flute and piccolo, oboe, recorder, clarinet, bassoon, French horn, trumpet, trombone, baritone and euphonium, tuba, and harp.

Lessons for traditional piano and string instruments begin at six years old. Lessons for band instruments begin at seven years old. Adult students also are welcome. Suzuki instruction begins at ages four or five.

If you are interested in registering your child, the first step is to contact Cadek coordinator Marcy Wilson at [email protected] or 423-634-7694. She will answer all questions and place students with an instructor. After your child has been assigned an instructor, you may register your child on the Cadek website. You and your child's instructor will schedule the day and time for the music lesson. In the registration process, you will select Bright as the location.

The fall term begins August 13 and ends December 10. You may register for the entire 17 weeks or for an eight-week term.
