Phase-In Days

Emails were sent on Friday to let you know which Phase-In Day your child will attend. Phase-In Days are Thursday, August 17, and Friday, August 18.

Students attend only on the assigned day during the first days of school. Phase-in day is a full day for students. Students in grades PK-5 wear their uniforms. Parents will park and walk to the classrooms with their children that day for a meet and greet between 8-8:30 a.m.

The school will send emails to all families on August 4 to notify you of your child's teacher. Teachers will send personal notes in the mail to students.

If you did not receive an email about Phase-In Day, please contact Renee' Kropff at rkropff@brightschool.com.

Used Uniform Sale

Used uniforms will be available during both Phase-In Days. You may shop in the morning between 7:30-9 a.m. or in the afternoon between 2-4 p.m. The sale is located in the Treehouse, which is on the second floor above the main lobby at the columns entrance.
Extra Activities Registration

Sign up for after school activities, sports, handbells and choir will be this afternoon. A separate email with all the offerings and links to sign-ups will be sent today at 3 p.m. As part of the registration process, you will need to create an account, then register your child. Instructions for this process will be included in the 3 p.m. email.

Parking Space Auction

The best parking spaces at school can be yours if you win the parking space auction, which begins Monday, August 7, and ends on Tuesday, August 15. Winning a space means you always have a reserved parking spot for every event and every time you come to school. Watch your inbox for more information and a link to the online auction.

Teacher Denise Hurlbut visits Austria and Hungary

Second grade teacher Denise Hurlbut returned from a trip to Austria and Hungary with new friends, experiences and knowledge.

Mrs. Hurlbut and her husband, Barry, embarked on the trip in June. They first went to Vienna and then Prague and Budapest. The trip was originally planned for summer 2020, but it was postponed due to the pandemic and other issues.

“This trip to Vienna, Prague, and Budapest was the most amazing experience. It definitely got my husband and I out of our comfort zones as we learned about the people, culture, history and foods. We also met tourists and made friends with people from Dubai, China, and Australia. Even though these people were from different countries we immediately had so much in common,” she said. “The memories of this experience made such an impact on our lives and will last a lifetime. Thank you Bright School for allowing us to experience this adventure!”
