Rice Challenge a Success!

Thank you to all families who donated rice for the Chattanooga Area Food Bank on Friday in conjunction with the Fifth Grade vs. Faculty Basketball game. A total of 3,280.5 pounds was collected!

Classes that brought the most rice by weight got front-row seats at the game. Students who brought in 100 pounds or more received a medal. Then there was a corn hole competition between the winners from each grade. Fourth grader Max Minninger was the overall medalist for bringing 221 pounds. Second grader Samantha George won the corn hole contest and took home the biggest stuffed panda you have ever seen!

Thanks to coach Jeff McDaniel, director of advancement Kim Brown and several parents for organizing the efforts. This collection was part of the school's ongoing partnership with the food bank.

Re-enrollment: Contracts and Deposits Due Wednesday

Families with children in grades K-4 are automatically enrolled for next school year unless you inform Director of Admissions Brooke Moore by this Wednesday that your child is not returning.

Families with children in JPK and PK who are re-enrolling need to fill out and return contracts by Wednesday.

For families using the FACTS tuition service, the $1,000 enrollment deposit will be added to your FACTS account in February for automatic draft as a convenience for you. Deposits are due by cash or check Wednesday for families choosing the one-payment plan.

If you would like to apply for tuition grants (financial aid), now is the time to get started. The first step in the process needs to be completed by Friday. Go to our tuition grants webpage for more information.

Carpool and Traffic Information

Car Line Reminders

Please refrain from using your cell phone while in the car line.

Some vehicles drop off and pick up more quickly than others, and some children enter and exit from the left side of the vehicle. For the safety of everyone, please remain behind the vehicle in front of you. Do not pull out and move ahead after you have dropped off or picked up your child.

McDade Lane Information

The city has attempted to repair the potholes on McDade Lane leading to the school. We have been notified that McDade Lane will be repaved this spring. There will be other changes on McDade Lane to make it safer for pedestrians. The school zone will extend onto McDade Lane, and a pedestrian lane and sidewalk will be added along the triangle and road off of Hixson Pike at the top of the hill. We will provide updates of this work when we have more details and a timeframe.

ERB Testing

Third graders will take ERB tests on Tuesday and Wednesday. Please be sure your child eats a healthy breakfast and arrives on time for school. Testing results will be provided to you during parent conferences.
