All students learn Spanish at Bright School, and that is putting them on a good track that will improve their lives and experiences. That's the message from representatives from La Paz Chattanooga. Knowing and speaking two languages is important, they said.

During Spanish class, fifth graders learned more about different Hispanic cultures and experiences from Lily Sanchez, who works at La Paz; Bibiana Fuller, a local contractor, and Yadi Rosales, a real estate agent. The three women talked about their experiences coming to Chattanooga and how speaking two languages helps them in business. Sanchez is from the Dominican Republic while Fuller is from Colombia and Rosales from Mexico through Houston, Texas. They talked about special holidays and what is was like growing up in their countries. Students asked them questions such as what kind of fairytales they learned as children.
