Third graders in Math Academy created toys using materials provided in the classroom and presented them to the Bright School Shark Tank. Materials included items such as small motors, magnets, pipe cleaners and plastic wheels. These items were assigned hypothetical values, and students had a limit to the amount they could spend to make the toys. After creating the toy, the students presented their inventions to the Shark Tank comprised of school administrators. The Shark Tank does not decide what toys to invest in but which awards for the creations should be given.

Most Innovative: Farmer Bob uses a motor and transforms into three different toys - a tractor, magnet that picks up paperclips and a flying Dumbo. The cost is $77 and includes batteries.

Kid's Choice: Boulder Blow is a soccer-like game using straws to propels the small "boulders" into goals. This game costs $57 but is not recommended for children under 5 because of a choking hazard.

Most Likely to Succeed: Crazy Man Car has a magnet and motor that can pick up paperclips, and it includes straws and small balls that can be used to hit the car. This toy costs $75.

Parent's Choice: Sweet 16 Shooters is a basketball-like game with two small goals that can be put up anywhere magnetic. The backboards to the goals can be changed out based on your favorite college team. No batteries are necessary. The cost is $41.
