Students paused before the holiday break to write cards, draw pictures and thank their teachers, friends and family.
Students delivered cards for faculty and staff throughout the school and even the UPS deliveryman and police officer who directs traffic.
In kindergarten, students drew the name of a classmate and wrote about why they are thankful for him/her at home with some parental guidance. Each child also made art to accompany the writing prompt as a gift. On Friday, the students presented the letters and drawings to their classmates. With help from teacher Bill Greene, the students read the letters aloud. Students said they were thankful for their friends for playing with them on the playground, for being funny, for being nice and for sharing.
