Mrs. Beth Warren’s classroom, where she teaches math to all fifth graders, was renovated this year. Students in fourth and fifth grade change classrooms for their classes of math, reading and writing. These students also experience new learning methods such as collaboration and group projects. This model classroom now has flexible furnishings like seating, tables and storage units that can be configured in a variety of functional layouts. One wall was coated with a paint that allows wipe-off writing. New lighting, paint and finishes updated the appearance of the room. The response from Mrs. Warren and her students was overwhelmingly positive.
