Ages for Our Programs
The Bright School offers an early childhood program for preschool age children, which we call junior pre-kindergarten (JPK) and pre-kindergarten (PK), and kindergarten. Our lower and upper grades include first through fifth.
August 1 is our age cut-off date.
JPK: 3 years old
PK: 4 years old
Kindergarten: 5 years old
Campus Tours and Visits
See our school in action! All future parents are invited to schedule an individual parent tour any time of the year. This is an important early step in the admissions process and a great way to see what happens during a school day. Tours may be scheduled by clicking here.
Applications are now being accepted for the 2020-2021 school year. An application must be submitted before a student visit (see below). The application fee is $50. Our online application is available here.
All applicants are required to submit a student recommendation form, completed by your child’s current or most recent teacher.

For applicants in grades 1-5, we also require copies of report cards and standardized testing (if applicable).
Playground Play Date
Come play with us! This is a fun, casual event held at our Early Childhood Enchanted Forest Playground (next to the track). Future parents meet teachers and school staff while their children enjoy playing.

Applicants for early childhood (JPK, PK, and K) will be invited to come for a play date with current students and teachers on a school day, and they will have individual academic assessments during that time. Play dates are scheduled from February through April.
Applicants for first through fifth grades will be invited to come for a classroom visit and an academic assessment. These visits are typically scheduled from February through April.
We make admissions decisions on a rolling basis. Parents (or guardians) will be notified of their child’s admission decision shortly after the admissions process is complete. A completed process includes the online application, parent tour, student recommendation form, and a play date or classroom visit. After acceptance, the deposit ($1,000 for PK-5 and $500 for JPK) is due with the enrollment contract two weeks after the child is accepted.
2019-2020 school year:
JPK: $5,500 (3-day), $7,800 (5-day)
Tuition payments may be made in full or through the FACTS payment plan. Lunch for grades PK-5 is included in tuition. Supply fees, which include all school supplies, and field trips are separate costs. Visit our tuition page for more information about the payment plan.
Financial aid is available for grades PK-5. We encourage families to apply for need-based aid. An admissions application must be completed before you apply for financial aid, and we recommend applying for financial aid as quickly as possible after completing the admissions application. Meet Our Director of Admissions
Contact Brooke Moore for everything related to admissions. She will guide you through the admissions process and answer any question you might have. Brooke is a Bright alumna and parent of a recent Bright graduate. She personally leads all the parent tours, administers the academic assessments and organizes the playdates and classroom visits.
