More about our summer program
Singing camp songs, taking hikes, creating friendships and eating watermelon are all those fun summertime activities children enjoy. All of this and more is part of Bright School’s new summer program.
Bright Days is a summer program for early learners that combines daily enrichment experiences with fun activities, many of them taking place outside. A typical day will include morning ceremonies, outside nature exploration, a visit to our library, camp songs, outdoor team games, art projects, bonding with camp counselors and fellow campers, and closing ceremonies with yoga.
Bright Days is open to children age 3 by August 1 (and potty trained) through age 8 or rising third graders. A healthy lunch is included in the weekly price.
A regular day is 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for $200 a week with early care between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. for no charge. Late care will be available from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. for $35 a week.
The 3-year-olds program ends at 1 p.m., and other children in pre-kindergarten and kindergarten may dismiss at this earlier time for a weekly rate of $150. If late care is required for a 3-year-old, please contact director Mary Bosshardt.
The program will run weekly from June 5 to August 4 but be closed the week of July 4.
Registration is open.
The registration fee is $30 before March 1 and $50 afterward. It is non-refundable. Each family pays the registration fee only once.
Each family pays one deposit upon registration to secure a spot in Bright Days 2017. The deposit is $200 for any number of full day weekly sessions or $150 for any number of half day weekly sessions. For a family registering for a combination of full day and half day for multiple children, the deposit is $200.
Each family will receive an email stating the balance amount (remainder of the session cost and optional late care), due date and payment options prior to the start of each weekly session. Full payment must be made prior to or on the first day of the session.
The cost of Bright Days is partially refundable (excluding registration fee) up to one week prior to the start of the session. If cancelling two or more weeks before the session begins, $150 will be refunded for full day or $100 for half day. If cancelling one week before the session begins, $125 will be refunded for full day and $75 for half day. There are no refunds if cancelling less than a week before the session begins.
